*Charges* in the are usually an amount as a price for a service rendered or goods supplied by the Brand to the individual customer. There can be different charges that can be levied for a service provided, some of them being: **Delivery Charge**, for delivering the food to your home by the restaurant; **Packaging Charge**, for neatly packing your food so it stays fresh; a service charge, for bringing food to your table and serving it on your plate.

A combination of multiple charges can be applied to the same product or order subtotal.

A charge can be calculated either on a percentage basis or a fixed charge basis with a combination of this charge being added on every product or on the bill subtotal.

Let's take an *example* of 2 items, Burger of Rs 100/- and Fries Rs 50/- and understand the possible combinations of charges that can be levied. Here, the bill subtotal would be Rs 150/- and a charge based on the type will be added to the subtotal.

**Fixed Charge on the product:**

Let's assume we have a fixed *Packaging Charge *of Rs 10/- on every item, the bill total would be;

Subtotal of Rs 150 + Rs 20 (Rs 10 packaging charge on each item) making a sum total of** Rs 170/-**

**Fixed Charge on order subtotal:**** **

Let's assume we have a fixed *Delivery Charge* of Rs 30/- on every order, the bill total would be;

Subtotal of Rs 150 + Rs 30 (Rs 30/- delivery charge on the order) making a sum total of** Rs 180/-**

**Percentage Charge on the product: **

Let's assume we have 5% *Packaging Charge* on every item, the bill total would be;

Subtotal of Rs 150 + Rs 7.5 (Rs 5/- and Rs 2.5/- being added at 5% on each item) making a sum total of **Rs 157.5/**-.

**Percentage Charge on order subtotal:**

Let's assume we have a 10%* Delivery Charge* on every order, the bill total would be;

Subtotal of Rs 150 + Rs 15 (Rs 15 being the 10% calculated on order subtotal) making a sum total of **Rs 165/-.**
