Adding/updating Locations

You can add a new location or update the details of an existing location either from the User interface (UI) or Comma separated value (CSV) sheet. 

Following the step by step guide to add/update an item through each mode:

Add/update location through User Interface (UI)

1. From Company Admin, go to Locations.
   
   
2. Inside Location list, click + New Location button:
   
   
3. Fill in Title, Handle, Address and City field.
   
   
4. Click the Create Location button. Your location has been created.
   
   
   
5. To update the location, click the name of the Location that you wish to edit from the location list. It'll take you to the same drawer detail view of the location, where you can edit the location.
   
   

Add/update location through CSV

When you want to add/update locations in bulk, then you can use a specifically formatted sheet, like CSV, and export and import your data. 

Here is the step-by-step guide to add/update locations in bulk using comma-separated-values:

1. On Catalogue > Locations screen, click on the 3-dot button to select Bulk Create/ Update Locations options
   
   
   
2. Download the CSV Template from the Bulk Create/Edit Locations screen.
   
   
3. Go through the Fill Data section to understand the data expected for each column.
   
   
4. Open the Downloaded Template in any of the spreadsheet software like Excel. Add the items you want to create as new rows. And, edit the items that you want to update.
   
   
5. Export the file  with all the changes again in CSV. And drop this CSV file in the Upload Fill Data section
   
   
6. After reviewing the updates, Save the data to system.
